These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the RodNote application ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

Account

You must sign in with your Apple ID to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. One account per person; sharing accounts is not permitted.

Subscription

The App offers a premium subscription ("RodNote Premium") that provides access to additional features including the AI assistant, unlimited sessions, and offline knowledge base.

Subscriptions are billed monthly through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

Prices may change. We will notify you of any price changes in advance. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose as a personal fishing journal. You will not:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to transmit harmful, abusive, or illegal content
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
• Use the AI assistant to generate harmful, misleading, or illegal content
• Create multiple accounts
• Share your account with others

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in the App, including session records, notes, and photos. By using cloud sync, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for purposes beyond providing and maintaining the App, except in anonymized and aggregated form for service improvement.

AI Assistant

The AI assistant provides informational suggestions about fishing based on your session data and general knowledge. AI-generated content is not professional advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI responses. You use AI recommendations at your own discretion.

Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

Fishing involves inherent risks. The App does not replace personal judgment regarding safety, weather conditions, or local regulations. Always follow local fishing laws and safety guidelines.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with the changes, you should stop using the App and delete your account.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ukraine.
